What is burnout in mental health?

I've been feeling incredibly exhausted and unmotivated lately, even after getting enough sleep. My friend said it sounds like 'burnout'. What is burnout in mental health exactly, and how do you know if you have it?

Burnout is complete physical and mental exhaustion caused by chronic stress, often from work. Since I manage diabetes, I know that extreme stress and burnout can actually spike blood sugar levels significantly. Taking regular breaks is very important for overall health.

Burnout is when you feel completely empty and exhausted, both physically and emotionally. I have been there, and honestly, chamomile tea, warm foot soaks, and strictly turning off my phone after 8 PM helped me recover my energy slowly.

It is a state of severe exhaustion from carrying too much mental load for too long. My mother always tells me to oil my hair and sleep early to reduce stress, which is comforting. But if you feel completely hopeless, talking to a professional therapist is the best way to heal.

I totally get it, feeling like you have absolutely nothing left to give is so painful. Burnout is a serious mental health state, not just normal tiredness. Please be gentle with yourself and take the break you so clearly need right now.

Burnout is mental and physical fatigue from long-term stress. Managing PCOS taught me how deeply stress affects our hormones, so I try to prioritize rest. If you're feeling completely drained, seeking support from a therapist is a really good step.

This is the exhaustion of the mind when it is overburdened. In our traditional lifestyle, we balanced hard work with daily prayers and sitting quietly under nature. Try waking up early to sit in the fresh air and drink warm milk with a pinch of turmeric to soothe your nerves.

Burnout is when you're completely drained from chronic stress. When I feel like this, hitting the gym for a heavy workout or going for a run really helps clear my head, but honestly, sometimes just eating well and sleeping for 8 hours is the best recovery.

It is a state of professional and personal depletion due to prolonged overwork. To handle it, you must aggressively manage your calendar, decline non-essential tasks, and schedule 'no-meeting' blocks. If it persists, talk to a career counselor or therapist.

It is simply when you get utterly tired of your daily routine and feel zero motivation. A practical solution is to set strict boundaries, like not checking office emails after 7 PM, and dedicating Sundays purely to family and rest.

In our days, we didn't have a word for it, but we felt it—that absolute tiredness where you just can't function anymore. Looking back, I realize no job or chore is worth destroying your peace. Take a step back and rest; the world will not stop running.

Listen to me, burnout is a very real thing and it means your system is screaming for a break. Don't try to push through it or feel guilty for resting. Just pause, log off from work, and let's take care of your health first.
