What is best to take for a fever?

My daughter has a fever since last night, and it's making her very drowsy. We've been giving her a sponge bath. Apart from that, what's usually the best thing to give or do for a fever?

Agree with taking proper rest. Applying cool damp cloth strips on the forehead helps a lot in bringing down a high temperature naturally.

I have been running a mild fever since yesterday and my body is shivering a bit. Is anyone else experiencing this viral bug going around? I'm worried if I should wait it out or visit the hospital immediately.

When you have a fever, your body is using all its energy to fight the infection, so strictly avoid any workouts or gym sessions. Just rest completely, stay hydrated, and only resume light walks once your doctor says you are fully fit.

My mouth feels so tasteless during a fever, but please avoid spicy or oily foods. Stick to warm vegetable soups or light khichdi. For the fever itself, consult a doctor to get the right medicine rather than guessing.

Whenever I get a fever, I just take complete bed rest, drink warm water, and monitor my temperature every few hours. If it goes above 101, I immediately call my family doctor instead of taking random pills.
