What is best to drink after vomiting?

My son just vomited a couple of times and now he's feeling a bit weak. My wife is saying to give him nimbu paani, but I was wondering if there's anything else that's really good to drink after vomiting to help him feel better and stay hydrated?

After vomiting, you lose a lot of electrolytes, so skip the plain water as it can upset your stomach again. Go for electoral or coconut water, and sip it very slowly. Avoid any dairy or protein shakes for at least 24 hours.

My grandmother always used to give us light rice kanji water with a little salt after vomiting. It is very gentle on the system, but if the vomiting is severe or accompanied by high fever, my doctor says it is best to seek medical help immediately.

I totally get it, vomiting makes you feel so weak and absolutely miserable. Try taking very small sips of lukewarm water with a tiny pinch of salt and sugar. Just rest today and don't force yourself to eat anything heavy.

Literally went through this food poisoning drama last weekend. The doctor strictly told me to avoid fruit juices as the sugar can worsen diarrhea or nausea. Simple ORS water or normal salted buttermilk worked wonders for me.

Oh no, hope you feel better soon! Sipping some cool coconut water really helps refresh the mouth and gives you energy back. Just take it one tiny spoon at a time, don't gulp it down!

Do not drink plain cold water immediately, you will vomit it right back. Get an ORS packet from the chemist, mix it in clean water, and sip it slowly over the next few hours. If the vomiting doesn't stop after 3-4 times, go see a doctor.

Ah, the joys of a rebellious stomach! My go-to is always weak, unsweetened black tea with a drop of lemon juice. It takes away that bad taste in the mouth and settles the tummy so I can lie down in peace.

When my stomach is upset, I make sure to take my daily thyroid pill only after the vomiting has completely stopped for a few hours, otherwise it won't absorb. Drinking light ginger water helps me feel better. Do check with your doctor if you take daily meds.

Whenever I have a stomach upset, I avoid drinking anything for the first 30 minutes to let my stomach settle. After that, I only sip on light, clear barley water or simple rice starch water. It is the only thing that doesn't trigger my nausea again.

Dear, your stomach needs absolute rest right now. Avoid milk, tea, coffee, and sodas completely today. Stick to small sips of tender coconut water or standard glucose water to restore your energy safely.

Please monitor your hydration levels closely, dehydration can happen so fast after vomiting. Try drinking slow sips of ORS water, and if you feel dizzy or can't keep any liquids down at all, please go to a clinic immediately. Take care.

Yes, ORS is definitely the safest choice. Just remember to sip it very slowly so your stomach can tolerate it.
