What is best for low back pain?

My lower back has been constantly aching for the past few months, making it hard to do even simple tasks. I've tried some local balms but no lasting relief. What is best for low back pain?

Honestly, don't just sit in one place hoping it will go away. When my lower back was stiff, what really helped was regular core strengthening and changing my desk chair. Also, applying warm sesame oil before a shower does wonders to relax the muscles.

Please be very careful before trying any random exercises or heavy balms for your back. It is always better to get an X-ray or consult an orthopedic doc first. Sometimes a small nerve compression can get worse if we handle it wrong at home.

Honestly, ditch the soft mattress first. I had crazy back pain last year and switching to a firm ortho mattress made the biggest difference. Also, get up and stretch every 45 minutes if you have a desk job, simple as that.

Our bodies hold a lot of mental stress in the lower back, so try to keep a calm and positive mind. Along with your regular doctor's advice, warm heat therapy and deep breathing can really help release that tight energy. Take good care of yourself.

I had severe stiffness a few years back, and gentle daily stretches saved me. Practices like Bhujangasana and Marjariasana, done very slowly, really open up the spine. Just make sure you do them under guidance first and don't push through any sharp pain.

I was actually just reading up on this because my dad has constant back aches. Some articles say hamstring tightness is the main culprit for lower back issues. Have you tried doing light leg stretches? Let me know if you find anything that actually works.

Literally just got over a month-long back spasm issue last week. For me, a mix of hot water bag fermentation twice a day and doing basic pelvic tilts helped the most. My physiotherapist also told me to strictly avoid lifting anything heavy from the floor for a few weeks.

No need for fancy treatments or expensive gadgets. Just apply some warm mustard oil mixed with garlic cloves, it works great for pain relief. Also, try to sit on a straight wooden chair instead of sinking into the sofa all day.
