What is basal carcinoma skin cancer?

My neighbour was recently diagnosed with some type of skin cancer called 'basal carcinoma'. I've never heard of it before. Can anyone explain what basal carcinoma skin cancer is?

It is Basal Cell Carcinoma, which is the most common type of skin cancer. It usually grows very slowly and rarely spreads to other parts of the body if caught early. Don't waste time looking at pictures online, just go to a dermatologist and get any suspicious spot biopsied immediately.

I read that it often looks like a pearly bump or a sore that doesn't heal, mostly on face or neck due to sun exposure. It made me realize I need to wear sunscreen even when I'm just running out to grab my street food! Definitely get a doctor to check it if you notice something unusual.

At this age, every new spot on my skin makes me worry it is something serious like basal carcinoma. Luckily, doctors say it is highly treatable with simple surgery if detected early. Best to let a skin doctor look at it instead of stressing yourself out looking at Google.

It is a type of skin cancer mainly caused by sun damage. It's highly curable, but you need to get it surgically removed by a proper oncologist or dermatologist. Stop reading random articles and book an appointment with a specialist today.

Basal cell carcinoma is a slow-growing, non-melanoma skin cancer that arises from the outer layer of the skin. While it is highly curable and rarely spreads, it can cause local damage if ignored. A qualified dermatologist is the only person who can diagnose and guide you on the right treatment.

While aloe vera and coconut oil are great for daily skin health, they cannot cure skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma requires proper medical removal or treatment by a specialist. Please do not try any home remedies on sores that refuse to heal, go see a doctor.

I was actually researching this because my uncle had a small shiny bump on his nose that turned out to be basal carcinoma. It was easily removed with a minor clinic procedure and he is completely fine now. It is good to be aware of such skin changes.
