What is an optical migraine?

Sometimes I get these strange visual disturbances, like shimmering lines, before a headache starts. My friend said it might be an 'optical migraine'. What exactly is an optical migraine, and is it serious?

An optical migraine, also called an ocular migraine, involves temporary visual disturbances like flashing lights or blind spots, sometimes without a headache. It's often triggered by stress or lack of sleep. Light exercise, like walking in fresh air, and managing stress can help reduce frequency, but do consult a neurologist if they become regular.

Yaar, optical migraine matlab, tumko sudden visual disturbances hote hain, without the head pain sometimes. Like flashing lights, zigzags, or blind spots. It's actually a type of migraine aura. Ho jaata hai kabhi kabhi. Don't panic, but if it's severe ya frequent, doc ko dikhao.

An optical migraine means you get temporary vision issues, like seeing shimmering or blind spots, sometimes even without a headache. My grandmother used to say, 'rest your eyes properly, child.' It can be triggered by stress or eye strain. While family advice is good, if these episodes happen often, please see a neurologist or an eye specialist to be safe.

Dude, I had an optical migraine once, and I totally freaked out! Suddenly saw zigzags and weird shimmering in my vision. Thought I was going blind or something. Turns out it's just a type of migraine, often without the headache. It passed in like 20-30 mins. It's scary, but usually harmless. Still, good to mention to your doctor for peace of mind.

An optical migraine, or ocular migraine, is a type of migraine that causes temporary visual disturbances, like flashing lights, zigzag patterns, or a temporary blind spot, usually in one eye. Sometimes it happens without a headache. If you track your triggers on a health app, you might find patterns like stress or specific foods. Always good to discuss with a doctor, especially if they're frequent.
