What is an arthritis doctor called?

My knees have been hurting quite a bit lately, and my family doctor thinks it might be arthritis. If I need to see a specialist, what kind of doctor should I look for? What is an arthritis doctor called?

My mother-in-law had arthritis, and she went to see a 'Rheumatologist'. That's what they call doctors who specialize in arthritis and other joint problems. Always best to trust the doctors, they know these things.

An arthritis doctor? They're called a Rheumatologist. Sounds like a fancy word, but basically, they deal with all the aches and pains in your joints. I sometimes think I need one just from getting out of bed these days, haha!

They're called a Rheumatologist. If you have arthritis or suspect you might, you should see one directly. They specialize in autoimmune diseases and joint conditions.

It's a Rheumatologist. I know someone who went to one for their joint pain. For any chronic issues, it's good to get regular checkups with a specialist, just like I do for my BP. Lifestyle changes also play a big role.
