What is acidity attack?

Lately, I've been feeling a burning sensation in my chest and throat, especially after spicy food. My mother said it sounds like an 'acidity attack'. What exactly is an acidity attack and what causes it?

An acidity attack is basically a severe bout of hyperacidity. You might feel a burning sensation in your chest (heartburn), throat, or stomach, along with sour burps, nausea, or a heavy feeling. It happens when stomach acid flows back into the food pipe. Antacids can help, but if it's frequent or very painful, see a doctor to rule out GERD or ulcers.

An acidity attack is a sudden, intense episode of heartburn and stomach discomfort due to excess stomach acid. It often happens after eating spicy, oily, or very acidic foods. As a vegetarian, I try to stick to milder foods and avoid anything too heavy at night. For quick relief, a glass of cold milk or some mint tea helps, but if it's chronic, lifestyle changes and a doctor's advice are needed.

I've had a few 'acidity attacks' myself, where I feel a burning in my chest and a sour taste in my mouth. It's really uncomfortable. For me, it usually happens if I eat very late or have too much spicy food. I usually take an antacid, but if it's a new or severe symptom for anyone, they should definitely consult a doctor.

Acidity attack, yaar, it's like when your stomach feels like it's on fire. Bahut zyaada burning sensation hota hai chest mein, kabhi kabhi throat tak aata hai. Gas bhi hota hai aur sour burps. Actually, it's just too much stomach acid. Thoda sa eno ya antacid le lo, but if it's constant, then see a doc.

Acidity attack sounds scary, and it can really feel like something serious, I know that anxious feeling! It's basically a sudden, severe flare-up of heartburn and digestive discomfort, often with a burning sensation in your chest or stomach. Don't panic, but do address it. If it's frequent or super painful, definitely see a doctor, they can help calm your worries and treat it.

An acidity attack is when you get really bad heartburn and stomach irritation because of too much stomach acid. Eating clean, avoiding late-night heavy meals, and staying active can really help prevent it. I make sure to eat balanced meals and not overeat, especially before my evening workouts. If it's a persistent issue, a doctor can guide you better.
