What is abnormal liver function?

A friend of mine was just diagnosed with something related to his liver and the doctor mentioned 'abnormal liver function'. Could someone please explain what this term signifies? I'm trying to understand what he might be going through.

It means your liver isn't doing its job well, and usually, blood tests (LFTs) show high enzyme levels. Getting proper tests done early might seem costly, but detecting liver issues early can save you from bigger, more expensive treatments later. Plan your health expenses wisely, it's an investment.

Abnormal liver function means your liver isn't working as it should, usually shown by blood tests like LFTs. My neighbour had this, and it was due to fatty liver. While some mild issues might respond to diet changes and things like kutki or giloy, for anything serious, only a doctor can properly diagnose and treat. Don't just rely on home remedies for this.

Basically, it means your liver tests (like LFTs) are showing numbers that are out of the normal range, indicating it's not functioning ideally, yaar. Don't stress too much, but it's super important to get it checked by a doc to figure out why and what to do, okay?

I can only share my experience: my dad had abnormal liver function tests a few years ago. It turned out to be related to some medication he was taking. His doctor adjusted it, and with some dietary changes, his levels came back to normal. It just means something is off, and a doctor needs to investigate.

Abnormal liver function basically means the liver's not working optimally, usually indicated by elevated liver enzymes in blood tests. While many factors can contribute, a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise, like even a daily brisk walk, and a balanced diet can support liver health. Always get a professional diagnosis though, don't guess.

It's when your liver isn't doing its job properly, like filtering toxins or making proteins. My dorm-mate had this issue because of too much junk food and late nights. Her doc told her to chill with the fried stuff and get good sleep. So it can be a wake-up call to change lifestyle, but definitely needs a doctor's check.

Oh, abnormal liver function can sound really scary, I know, my mind always jumps to the worst. It means your liver isn't processing things right, or there's some damage, and it shows up in blood tests. It's good you're asking, but please, please get it properly checked by a doctor, don't worry alone.

When your liver function tests (LFTs) show values outside the normal range, that's abnormal liver function. It means your liver is under some strain or damage. Often, simple things like reducing alcohol, eating less oily food, and managing weight can help, but a doctor's consultation is essential for proper diagnosis and a practical solution.
