What is a thyroid doctor called?

My family doctor suspects I might have a thyroid issue and said I should see a specialist. I'm wondering, what is a thyroid doctor called? Just want to know what kind of doctor to search for.

If you have thyroid issues, you should see an endocrinologist. They specialize in hormone-related problems, including thyroid. Regular checkups and blood tests with them are really important to keep it under control.

Oh, that's an endocrinologist! They deal with all hormones, so thyroid too. My friend had to go to one for her PCOD, same type of doc.

For serious thyroid problems, you definitely need to see an endocrinologist, they are the specialists. While some minor things can be managed with diet, a doctor's advice is crucial for thyroid health.

I was just looking this up! It's an endocrinologist, they are like hormone specialists. They deal with diabetes too, among other things.

It's an endocrinologist. They handle all endocrine glands, including your thyroid. Don't go to a general physician for long-term management; a specialist is needed.

The doctor for thyroid is an endocrinologist. Just like how I keep a tab on my BP and general health with regular checkups, thyroid also needs specialized care. Lifestyle changes also help, but doc knows best.

That would be an endocrinologist! My aunt sees one for her thyroid. They're basically specialists for all hormone issues. It's always best to consult them for proper treatment and guidance, you know?
