What is a retinal migraine?

I've been experiencing strange visual disturbances followed by headaches. My doctor mentioned something called a 'retinal migraine'. What is that, and is it serious?

I use a migraine tracker app, and it has some info on this. Basically, it's a rare type of migraine where you get temporary vision loss or disturbances in one eye, often before or during a headache. My app even suggests logging visual aura patterns. It's quite specific, not like a regular migraine aura.

This is a serious condition where blood flow to the retina is affected, can be very alarming. If you're experiencing vision loss, please see an ophthalmologist or neurologist at a reputed hospital. My family doc always says for eye or brain related issues, don't delay, go to the best. They will explain it properly.

Oh, this sounds scary. I've had regular migraines and tried everything from ginger tea to applying balm. If your vision is getting affected, please don't experiment with home remedies. This is something serious, you need proper medical advice.

Sunno bhai, if you are having vision problems, especially in one eye, you don't mess around. It's not a normal headache. Go to the eye doctor or a neurologist fast. Don't wait for it to get worse. Yeh serious baat hai.

Oh my god, retinal migraine? That sounds so terrifying! Like, losing your vision temporarily? I'd be so worried. Please, please get it checked out by a proper doctor. I always panic about these things, but with vision, it's really important. Hope you are okay.

I once saw some flickering lights and thought it was something very bad with my eyes, I literally panicked. Turns out it was just a regular migraine aura that was a bit weird that day. But for retinal migraine, they say you actually lose vision in one eye. If that's happening to you, definitely see a doctor, don't self-diagnose like I almost did!
