What is a liver function test called?

I had some blood work done and the report mentioned a 'liver function test'. I just want to understand what this test is generally referred to. What is a liver function test called?

It is called an LFT (Liver Function Test). I always get super anxious before getting my blood drawn, but it is actually a very standard panel that checks your bilirubin and enzyme levels to make sure your liver is safe and healthy.

It's simply called an LFT. You can search for 'Liver Function Test' on any health booking app, and they will send a lab technician home to collect your blood sample. It's super convenient to track your SGOT and SGPT trends this way.

It's called an LFT. I had to get it done during my routine health checkup last month. It is just a basic blood test that measures enzymes like SGPT and SGOT, so there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

They call it an LFT. Honestly, with the amount of junk food I survive on during my night shifts, getting an LFT done would probably show my liver is working harder than my internet connection!

It is called LFT, my friend. At my age, the doctor keeps writing 'LFT' on every prescription pad just to see if my liver is still forgiving me for all the paronthas I eat!
