What is a high liver count?

My recent blood test showed a 'high liver count,' and I'm not sure what that means. Is it a cause for concern, and what might be some reasons for it?

My SGPT was showing 85 and SGOT was 72, which is higher than the normal limit of 40. I am really stressed about liver damage. Did anyone else have similar levels and manage to bring them down easily?

Ah, too much oily street food and biryani can easily push your SGPT/SGOT levels above the normal 40 limit, making it high. Time to cut down on the sweets and spicy food, and definitely show the report to a doctor!

Beta, liver enzymes like SGPT and SGOT above 45-50 are considered high. Along with the doctor's medicines, drinking warm water and avoiding heavy, oily foods at night helps the liver heal naturally.

If your liver counts are in the hundreds, your liver is basically shouting for a vacation from junk food! Normal is under 40, so anything above that is high. Just eat clean, drink water, and let your doctor guide you.

My physician explained that liver enzymes (SGPT/SGOT) are considered elevated if they cross 40-50 U/L. If they are in the hundreds or thousands, it indicates active liver inflammation. It is best to get an ultrasound done as advised by a gastroenterologist.
