What is a high fever celsius?

My son has been feeling a bit warm and I checked his temperature. I'm used to Fahrenheit, but the thermometer shows Celsius. What is considered a high fever in Celsius?

A temperature above 38 degrees Celsius is generally considered a fever, and above 39.4 is high. Before running to expensive private hospitals for unnecessary blood tests, keep a digital thermometer at home to track the temperature precisely. If it stays high for more than two days, then plan for a doctor's visit to avoid sudden emergency costs.

For a high fever around 39°C or 40°C, simple cold water compresses on the forehead help a lot to bring the heat down. I always try these home methods first to keep the patient comfortable, but if the fever doesn't budge, medicine is a must. Do consult your doctor if the temperature stays very high.

In Celsius, a normal body temperature is around 37°C, while anything above 38°C is a fever. A temperature crossing 39.5°C is classified as a high fever and requires careful monitoring. It is always best to consult a doctor to identify the underlying cause of the infection.

Bro, when my thermometer showed 39°C last month, I felt absolutely wrecked. That is definitely a high fever in Celsius, which is like 102°F or 103°F. I just popped a paracetamol that my doctor prescribed and slept it off.

At Fortis, the pediatricians told us that anything crossing 38.5°C in kids or 39°C in adults is considered a high fever. They always advise us to write down the exact Celsius readings and timings before calling. Please ask your doctor clearly about the dosage for fever reducers.

Anything above 39 degrees Celsius is a high fever and needs active management. Keep the patient in a well-ventilated room, give plenty of fluids like coconut water, and track the readings every few hours. Don't panic, but if it touches 40°C, seek medical help immediately.
