What is a good sugar substitute for diabetics when baking?

My wife loves baking, but since her diabetes diagnosis, she's been struggling to find good alternatives. We want to bake some diabetic-friendly cakes and cookies. What is a good sugar substitute for diabetics specifically when baking?

I used to worry I could never bake birthday cakes for my family anymore. But over the years, I discovered that erythritol bakes beautifully and behaves almost exactly like regular sugar. Don't worry, with a little practice, your sugar-free cakes will turn out wonderful.

Cooking and baking are forms of love, so do not let diabetes take away your joy. Erythritol or monk fruit sweeteners are excellent natural substitutes that keep the body pure and undisturbed. Stay positive and keep sharing sweet moments with your loved ones safely.

I have helped many people in my family adapt their baking recipes for diabetes. Erythritol is the best for cookies because it provides the right bulk, while liquid stevia is better for moist cakes when mixed with apple sauce. Just remember that even sugar-free baked items have carbs from the flour.

Monk fruit is extremely expensive in India right now, so I stick to erythritol which is much more cost-effective for home baking. Managing diabetes costs a lot with regular HbA1c tests and doctor fees, so we have to plan our kitchen budget very wisely.

I prefer using pure stevia extract or ground cardamom and cinnamon to naturally sweeten my baked snacks. However, if your sugar levels are running very high or you feel dizzy, please don't try to solve it with diet changes alone and see a doctor immediately.

According to my fitness tracker app, using a blend of erythritol and monk fruit works best for baking because it doesn't cause any insulin spike or gastrointestinal bloating. It tracks at zero active carbs, so you can easily log it into your daily macro budget.
