What is a good stroke per minute for rowing?

I've started rowing recently at the gym and I'm trying to improve my technique and speed. My instructor mentioned strokes per minute, but I'm not sure what's a good number to aim for. What is a good stroke per minute for rowing for a beginner?

I just started using the rowing machine at my gym and I find it quite exhausting. Is a stroke rate of 20 to 22 per minute good for a beginner, or should I try to go faster? I don't want to injure my back.

At my age, I have realized that form and steady breathing are far more important than speed. Keeping a steady rate of 22-24 strokes per minute is wonderful for cardiovascular health and is very gentle on the joints. Don't rush it.

If you are doing high-intensity rowing at 28-30 strokes, make sure your vegetarian nutrition is strong enough to support recovery. I find a clean diet with enough lentils, paneer, and oats helps maintain stamina for such cardio workouts.

Bro, on the gym rower, I usually stay around 24-28 sspm for a solid cardio burn. If u go too fast, like above 30, your form completely falls apart and it just hurts your lower back. Keep it steady and powerful!

Rowing is a very rigorous exercise that puts pressure on your spine and knees. Keep your pace moderate, around 20 strokes, and if your joints feel warm or sore after the session, apply a little warm coconut oil and rest. Don't push your body too hard.

Before you join an expensive rowing club or buy a home machine, get a basic physical checkup to ensure your heart and back can handle the strain. It is better to spend a little on a doctor's advice first to avoid expensive physiotherapy later.

Rowing looks so easy but it is actually very heavy workout, haan na. My gym trainer told me that keeping it between 22 and 26 is best for weight loss. Just focus on your leg push rather than pulling with your arms.

Since I have high blood pressure, I have to monitor my heart rate closely during cardio. I keep my rowing stroke rate strictly under 22 to maintain a safe zone, and I check my BP regularly before and after workouts. Please consult your physician for your safe limit.
