What is a good painkiller for nerve pain?

My father has been having this shooting pain down his leg for a few months now, the doctor said it's nerve pain. We tried a few things, but it's not really helping him sleep properly. Any suggestions for a good painkiller that might actually give him some relief?

Nerve pain can be very delicate and uncomfortable to bear. While home remedies like gentle warm oil massage can soothe the area slightly, you must not take any painkiller without asking your doctor. Traditional herbs also need proper guidance.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this sharp nerve pain. Regular painkillers often don't work for nerves and can cause side effects, so please book a visit to a neurologist who can prescribe the right, safe medication for you.

Nerve pain requires specific prescription medicines, not normal over-the-counter painkillers. I visited a specialist at a reputed hospital for my sciatica, and they prescribed targeted medication after checking my symptoms. Please consult a doctor clearly.

Since I have high BP, I cannot take standard painkillers as they can spike my blood pressure and strain my kidneys. If you have nerve pain, get your vitamin B12 levels checked and consult your doctor for a safe treatment plan.

Sometimes nerve pain is linked to vitamin deficiencies, especially in strict vegetarian diets. Instead of taking heavy painkillers, please get your Vitamin B12 and D3 levels tested. Eating fortified foods or doctor-approved supplements might really help.
