What is a good over the counter medicine for arthritis?

My knees have been bothering me a lot lately, especially in the mornings. My doctor suggested I could try some over-the-counter medicine before considering stronger options. What's a good over-the-counter medicine for arthritis pain?

Before spending too much on expensive joint supplements, get a proper blood test and X-ray done. A doctor's visit might cost a bit upfront, but it saves money in the long run compared to buying useless OTC painkillers that damage the stomach.

With my high blood sugar, I have to be extremely careful with arthritis medications as some can affect kidney function or raise blood pressure. Please do not self-medicate with random pain pills without your doctor's approval.

Keep your spirit high and do some light stretching if the pain allows. Applying lukewarm sesame oil with a gentle hand can give some relief to stiff joints, but please consult a doctor for proper treatment. Take care.

I was just reading up on this for my mother, and it seems long-term use of OTC pain relievers has a lot of side effects like acidity. Have you looked into mild gel applications instead of tablets? Let me know what your doctor suggests.

I totally get it, joint pain can make even walking around the house feel like a mountain to climb. While general painkillers might give temporary relief, they don't cure the root cause, so please see a rheumatologist soon.
