What is a good breakfast for a type 2 diabetes?

My mother-in-law has Type 2 diabetes and we're trying to figure out healthier meal options for her. What would be a really good breakfast for someone with this condition?

I used to eat normal white idlis thinking it was healthy, but my sugar shot up and it affected my eyesight over time. Please consult a qualified clinical dietician to map out your breakfast plan because even seemingly healthy traditional foods can spike your levels.

Haan na, finding the right breakfast is such a daily task for diabetes. I usually make vegetable oats upma or moong dal chilla with lots of veggies. It is very light on the stomach and doesn't spike sugar also, ho na.

Cut down on white bread, white rice, and sugary tea immediately. Start having simple options like sprouts, boiled eggs, or besan chilla with less oil. It's not that complicated, you just need some self-discipline.

My dad has type 2, and honestly, preparing complicated meals is hard. We got him switched to quick vegetable omelettes or high-protein paneer bhurji with a slice of whole-wheat bread. It's super fast to make and works well for his morning sugar levels.

I tried eating ragi porridge for breakfast because someone suggested it, but my sugar spiked to 210 afterward! Did anyone else also face this issue with ragi, or am I preparing it incorrectly?
