What is a fibro scan of the liver?

My doctor suggested I might need a fibro scan for my liver. I'm not entirely sure what that is or what it measures. Can anyone explain what a fibro scan of the liver involves?

A fibroscan is just a gentle ultrasound-like test to check your liver health and stiffness. Do not worry at all; keep a peaceful mind and take care of your body. Everything happens for our healing.

It is a quick, non-invasive test that measures liver scarring or fatty liver in just 10-15 minutes. No pain, no needles, and you can go back to work immediately after. Just book it at a reliable lab in the morning.

Got this done last month because of some digestive issues. They basically bounce sound waves off your liver using a probe to check fatty liver levels. It feels like a mild vibration, totally painless and gets over in a jiffy.

My doctor suggested a fibroscan because fatty liver is common with PCOS insulin issues. It is a very safe scan, but please discuss the final reports with your specialist to understand the exact stage. Don't worry, it's just a routine check.

It is standard technology now to assess liver stiffness without going for a risky biopsy. If your doctor recommended it, just get it done. It gives a clear score of liver fat so you can plan your lifestyle changes.

It is just a specialized, painless ultrasound to check for liver stiffness and fat. Don't worry, it is completely non-invasive.
