What is a fever in children?

My kids often get warm, and sometimes I'm not sure if it's just normal body temperature or an actual fever. What exactly constitutes a fever in children? Is there a standard temperature reading?

Honestly, pehle main bhi bohot darr jaati thi jab mere bete ko halka bhi bukhar aata tha. But doc ne samjhaya ki fever itself isn't a disease, it's just body's way of fighting infection. Just keep an eye on how active they are and if it's too high, tabhi medicines ki zaroorat padti hai.

Yaar, children mein fever toh common hai. Actually, anything above 100.4°F (38°C) is considered a fever. But most of the time it's just a viral thing, give them fluids and paracetamol if needed, that's what our pediatrician always says.

Bacchon ko bukhar aana toh aam baat hai. Bas unki body temperature par dhyan rakhna aur unhe hydrate rakhna zaroori hai. Thode din mein theek ho jaate hain.

As a general rule, a temperature of 38°C (100.4°F) or higher is considered a fever in kids. Most often, it's the body reacting to a common cold or a minor infection. Keep them comfortable, lightly clothed, and offer plenty of liquids. If it's very high or they seem really unwell, then definitely consult your pediatrician.

My grandson also gets fevers sometimes. My doctor always tells us to monitor the child's general activity and not just the temperature. Lifestyle changes and regular checkups are important for adults like me for BP, but for kids, it's mostly about comfort and watching for any red flags, then see the doc.
