What is a fever in an 8 month old?

My 8-month-old son seems to have a fever. I checked his temperature, but I'm not sure what the exact definition of a fever is for an infant of his age. Could someone tell me what temperature reading means he actually has a fever?

My 8-month-old just recovered from a fever last week. Anything 100.4 F or above is considered a fever. We kept her hydrated with feeds and consulted our pediatrician immediately.

For an 8-month-old, a temperature of 100.4 F or higher is a fever. I had complications with my child when we delayed, so please don't wait and see a doctor immediately.

With my 8-month-old, we always consider anything above 100.4 F as a fever. We monitor her behavior closely and always call our pediatrician before giving any medicine.

For an 8-month-old, a temperature of 100.4 F or above is a fever. Keep them in light cotton clothes so they don't overheat, and definitely call your pediatrician to get the right medicine.
