What is a fever in a 5 month old?

My 5-month-old baby has been a bit fussy and feels warm. I took her temperature, but I'm unsure what exact reading is considered a fever for a baby so small. Is there a specific number I should watch out for?

For a 5-month-old, 100.4 F or above is considered a fever. Ensure the baby is in a comfortable room, keep monitoring them, and consult your pediatrician for a proper checkup.

I know how terrifying it is when your baby feels warm, my heart would race so fast. Remember, 100.4 F is considered a fever for a 5-month-old. Please call your doctor, they will help put your mind at ease.

My nephew had this at 5 months. Anything above 100.4 F is a proper fever. Don't try any tricks, just call your pediatrician immediately.

Don't worry, babies get fevers as they grow. A temperature of 100.4 F or higher is a fever for a 5-month-old. Keep them comfortable and let the doctor guide you.
