What is a fever for a 5 year old?

My 5-year-old daughter is feeling warm and a bit cranky today. Before I give her any medicine, I want to confirm if it's actually a fever. What temperature is considered a fever for a 5-year-old?

My 5-year-old has 100.2 F right now and I am really stressing out. Is this considered a fever or does it have to be 100.4 F or higher? Does anyone else get super anxious the moment their child feels warm?

For a 5-year-old, 100.4 F or above is a fever. Keep them hydrated with coconut water or warm soups, and don't bundle them up in thick blankets. Just consult your doctor for the correct medicine dosage.

We track our kid's vitals using a digital thermometer. For a 5-year-old, a temperature of 100.4 F (38 C) or above is considered a fever. Log the readings every few hours and share them with your pediatrician.

Don't worry, children get fevers as they grow and build immunity. A temperature of 100.4 F or higher is a fever for a 5-year-old. Just keep them comfortable, give them simple food, and let the doctor guide you.

For a 5-year-old child, 100.4 F or higher is a fever. You can place a cool, damp cloth on their forehead to ease the discomfort, but do consult a proper doctor for the right medicine.

I usually try home care like giving them warm herbal tea or a sponge bath if they have a mild warmth, but a fever is 100.4 F or above. If it goes high or they are very lethargic, please see a doctor immediately.

A temperature of 100.4 F or higher is a fever for a 5-year-old. I always advise getting it checked by a pediatrician to rule out any underlying infections instead of waiting it out.

Currently awake at 3 AM with my 5-year-old whose thermometer says 101 F. Yes, 100.4 F or above is a fever. Keep the coffee ready, monitor them closely, and call the doc in the morning.

I was just reading up on this because my friend's kid is unwell. It seems 100.4 F or higher is considered a fever for a 5-year-old. Definitely best to consult a pediatrician to be absolutely safe.
