What is a fear of vomiting called?

Ever since I was a child, I get really anxious and scared if someone around me vomits, or if I feel like I might vomit. My friend told me this might be a specific phobia. What is a fear of vomiting called?

It is called emetophobia. I consult at Fortis, and my doctor clearly explained that therapy can help manage such specific phobias, so do ask your physician about professional options.

The scientific term is emetophobia. Some anxiety-tracking apps have great breathing exercises that can help you calm down when the fear strikes.

It is called emetophobia, and honestly, nobody likes vomiting anyway! But if the mere thought of it gives you nightmares, you definitely aren't alone.

I didn't know there was a proper name like emetophobia for this. Does this phobia also make people avoid eating out at restaurants because of the fear?

It is emetophobia. I ignored my severe anxiety about food hygiene for years, and it ruined my gut health, so please get it checked early.

It is actually called emetophobia, yaar. It can be super stressful when you travel or eat out, so maybe talking to a counsellor might help.
