What is a 2 stroke dirt bike?

I'm looking to buy a dirt bike, and I keep seeing '2 stroke dirt bike' mentioned. I'm new to this, so I don't understand what that means. Can someone explain what a '2 stroke dirt bike' is?

It's a type of off-road motorcycle where the engine completes a power cycle in just two piston movements. They are lighter and fast, but they can be loud and emit more smoke. If you ride one, track your physical stats on your fitness app because dirt biking is an amazing high-intensity workout!

It is a dirt bike with a simpler, lighter engine design that delivers quick power. While off-road riding is a thrilling hobby, it can put a lot of sudden strain on your back and joints. Always make sure to check with your doctor if you have any existing physical issues before starting such high-impact sports.

My younger brother bought one of these recently! They have that distinct high-pitched buzzing sound and require you to mix oil directly into the petrol. They are super fun for trails, but just make sure to wear proper safety gear because they can kick super fast.

These bikes are so fast and loud, they honestly make me a bit anxious just watching them! Since they don't have a dedicated oil reservoir, you have to mix it in yourself, which seems like a lot to manage. If you are planning to ride, please be very careful and protect your joints.

Think of it as a pocket rocket on two wheels! It goes 'ding-ding-ding' and flies over dirt hills like crazy. It is definitely not your average smooth city scooter, but it's perfect if you want a massive adrenaline rush and some dirty clothes!
