What is 3a kidney disease?

My uncle recently got some tests done and the doctor mentioned '3a kidney disease'. We're all quite worried, but we don't fully understand what it means. Could someone explain what 3a kidney disease actually is?

Stage 3a kidney disease is characterized by a mild to moderate decrease in kidney function, with an eGFR between 45 and 59. Because kidney management depends highly on individual blood reports and overall health, consulting a certified nephrologist is absolutely essential.

This is Stage 3a, which means our kidneys are asking for extra care. While taking the doctor's prescribed medicines, you can have simple home-cooked food with very low salt. Avoid heavy spices and outside food entirely to keep things gentle on the body.

I completely understand the panic you must be feeling after seeing 'Stage 3a' on a report. I went through the same anxiety when my relative got diagnosed. Please take a deep breath; this is an early stage that can be successfully managed with proper lifestyle changes.

When my mother was diagnosed with Stage 3a kidney disease, I felt helpless and cried for days thinking of the worst. It is emotionally very draining, but please know that with the right diet and regular doctor checkups, she has been stable for years now.
