What inside an asthma inhaler?

My little cousin has asthma and uses an inhaler regularly. I always wondered what's actually inside it that helps him breathe better so quickly. Could someone explain what the main component inside an asthma inhaler typically is?

Basically, it has medicines to open up your airways so you can breathe easily even after eating super spicy food that triggers a cough. Most have bronchodilators like salbutamol, which act like a quick release valve for your lungs.

Inhalers usually contain bronchodilators to open up the lungs or mild steroids to reduce swelling. There's nothing to fear about steroids in inhalers; they go straight to the lungs and are very safe. Don't listen to rumors and use it if your doctor prescribed it.

They contain quick-relief medicines like salbutamol or preventive steroid medications. While drinking warm ginger tea or doing steam inhalation helps soothe a mild cough, you must always keep your doctor's inhaler with you for any actual breathing trouble.

I was put on a preventer inhaler last winter after a severe bronchitis bout. It has budesonide, which is a mild corticosteroid that keeps the airway swelling down so you don't get attacks. It completely changed my recovery process.

My daughter uses a spacer with her inhaler, which contains salbutamol for quick relief during wheezing. Her doctor explained that it just relaxes the tight lung muscles. It is very safe for kids, so please don't hesitate to use it if your child needs it.
