What hormone stimulates the release of thyroid hormones?

My doctor mentioned something about my thyroid hormones during my last check-up, and that another hormone controls their release. I was trying to understand how that whole system works. What exactly is that hormone that stimulates the release of thyroid hormones?

Hey! Honestly, for me, I always get confused with these hormone names. I just know my doctor always checks TSH when he's looking at my thyroid. Maybe that's the one? Better to ask a doc if you're feeling unwell, haan?

I remember having so much anxiety about my thyroid when I first got diagnosed. It's TSH, Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone, released by the pituitary gland. Don't worry too much about remembering the exact science, just focus on what your doctor says about managing it if you have an issue.

For stimulating anything related to hormones, exercise and a balanced diet are key. TSH is the one that tells your thyroid what to do. Make sure you're getting enough iodine and selenium in your food too, that helps the thyroid function well.

It's TSH, beta. But more importantly, try to keep your mind calm and positive. Our body's systems work best when we are at peace. Do what makes you happy, and always take good care of your health.

From my experience, TSH is the one they usually check. When I do my pranayama, I feel my whole endocrine system, including thyroid, works better. Maybe try some gentle neck exercises too, it helps in that region.
