What hepatitis is jaundice?

Someone in my family recently got diagnosed with hepatitis, and they also have jaundice. I'm trying to understand more about it – is jaundice a type of hepatitis, or is it a symptom? Just want to be clear.

Oh, please don't take jaundice lightly. I ignored my symptoms once, thinking it was just fatigue, and it became much worse. Jaundice is a symptom, usually indicating an underlying liver issue, which could be hepatitis. Get tested immediately, okay?

I totally get why you're asking this, it can be confusing. Jaundice itself isn't a type of hepatitis, but it's a very common symptom of hepatitis. It happens when your liver isn't working properly to clear bilirubin. So, if you have jaundice, it's vital to check for hepatitis.

Haan na, bahut log confuse ho jaate hain. Jaundice actually symptoms hota hai, matlab aapki liver theek se kaam nahi kar rahi. Aur hepatitis, woh ek infection hai jo jaundice cause kar sakta hai. Toh agar jaundice hai, toh doctor ko dikhao zaroor.

Jaundice is a clinical sign, not a type of hepatitis itself. It often indicates liver dysfunction, which can be caused by various types of hepatitis (A, B, C, D, E). Any instance of jaundice warrants immediate medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and ensure appropriate treatment.

Hey, so jaundice isn't a hepatitis type. It's more like a sign that your liver might be struggling, and hepatitis is one of the common culprits. Keeping your body healthy through good diet and regular activity helps your liver overall, but if you have jaundice, you need to see a doctor asap for diagnosis.
