What helps with dandruff and itchy scalp?

Been dealing with a really annoying itchy scalp and lots of dandruff for months now, especially in this weather. I've tried a few different shampoos but nothing seems to really work. Any effective tips or remedies to get rid of it?

My dermatologist actually explained that it's often a type of fungal overgrowth, not just dry scalp. She recommended a ketoconazole shampoo twice a week for a few weeks, and it made a huge difference. Also, don't use very hot water and rinse properly!

Bro, hydration helps a lot, internally and externally. Make sure you're drinking enough water. And sweating it out with exercise can actually help clean your scalp pores, just remember to wash your hair afterwards, obviously!

Oh, I totally get how annoying and embarrassing dandruff can be. It used to make me so self-conscious. Don't worry, a lot of people go through this. Finding the right shampoo made me feel so much better.

Haan ji, dandruff is a common problem. Mere saath bhi hua tha. Try using a good anti-dandruff shampoo regularly, like Head & Shoulders or something similar. Aur haan, oiling mat karna bahut zyada, usse aur badh jaata hai sometimes.

Please be careful with home remedies. I ignored my itchy scalp for too long, and it turned into something worse, like dermatitis, and then it was harder to treat. If it's really bad or persistent, it's best to consult a dermatologist quickly.
