My son had kidney stones last year, it was so painful for him. We made him drink a lot of water, like really a lot, and also barley water. It helped him pass a smaller stone. But for the pain, the doctor gave medicine, ghar pe thoda garam paani ki bottle se sek sakte ho.

Kidney stones? Oh god, been there, done that. The pain is like someone's performing black magic on your back. Honestly, just keep drinking water like your life depends on it. And painkillers, the strong ones the doc prescribes, nothing else works that well for the acute pain. I mean, my tolerance for pain is zero now, so I'm not risking it.

For kidney stone pain, besides proper medication from a doctor, staying hydrated is super important. I try to avoid foods high in oxalates like spinach, beetroot, and nuts, especially when I feel any discomfort. Also, lemon water helps a lot, it has citrate which can prevent stone formation and help with passing. It's more about prevention and management through diet.

My friend had terrible kidney stone pain. She found some relief by lying down and placing a warm compress on her back. Also, some gentle breathing exercises, like deep belly breathing, can help calm the body and mind during intense pain episodes. Of course, always with a doctor's treatment.

When the pain is severe from kidney stones, it's really important to consult a doctor immediately. Home remedies can offer some comfort, but they don't replace medical intervention for actual pain management or stone removal if needed. Drinking plenty of fluids, especially water, is always recommended. But for diagnosis and proper treatment, a doctor's advice is paramount.

For kidney stone pain at home, honestly, you need to call your doctor or visit emergency if the pain is unbearable. They'll likely prescribe strong pain meds. In the meantime, drinking lots of water helps dilute the urine and might help pass the stone. Heating pad on the painful area can also give some temporary comfort.
