What helps extreme tooth pain?

Last night I had extreme tooth pain, couldn't sleep at all. I have an appointment with the dentist today, but for future reference, what generally helps extreme tooth pain in the moment? Anything temporary to get through it?

Oh my god, extreme tooth pain is absolutely soul-crushing. I remember crying for hours, it's not just physical pain, it messes with your head too. It's totally valid to feel overwhelmed. The ONLY thing that truly helped was an emergency dentist visit and getting it treated. Please don't try to just bear it, see a dentist ASAP.

Extreme tooth pain sounds terrifying, my mind would go straight to a root canal! But seriously, you need to see a dentist urgently. While waiting, maybe try an over-the-counter painkiller like ibuprofen and apply a cold compress to your cheek. Don't delay, tooth pain can get really bad, really fast.

Listen, extreme tooth pain is a sign that something serious is going on and you absolutely cannot ignore it. Please get to a dentist today, don't wait. In the meantime, you can take a painkiller if you have one at home, but that's just temporary. Take care, okay?

When the body is in such pain, it's important to calm the nervous system as much as possible. While you arrange to see a dentist, gentle pranayama, focusing on slow, deep breaths, can sometimes help manage the intensity of the pain, if only for a short while. It helps relax the mind. But please, a dentist is a must for such severe pain.

Extreme tooth pain is truly one of the worst pains, I've seen many people suffer. The most practical thing you can do is get to a dentist, ideally for an emergency appointment. Until then, use an over-the-counter painkiller (like paracetamol or ibuprofen, if you can take them) and avoid hot or cold foods. You might also try rinsing with warm salt water to reduce swelling. But do not delay seeing a professional.

Dude, extreme tooth pain? That's seriously no fun at all, don't stress too much about what it could be, but don't ignore it either. You gotta hit up a dentist like, yesterday. For temporary relief, a cold pack on the cheek helps some people, and definitely take a proper painkiller. Don't be a hero, get it checked!
