What helps cavity pain?

I have a terrible toothache, and it feels like a cavity. It's quite painful and I can't get to the dentist right away. Is there anything that helps cavity pain temporarily?

For temporary relief from cavity pain, you can try rinsing your mouth with warm salt water. It helps clean the area and reduce swelling. Also, you can gently apply a cold compress on your cheek. But these are just temporary fixes; you absolutely need to see a dentist as soon as possible for proper treatment.

My son once had terrible cavity pain and couldn't sleep. I gave him a mild painkiller suitable for his age (as prescribed by our doctor before) and made him rinse his mouth with warm salt water repeatedly. It gave him relief for a bit, but we took him to the dentist first thing next morning. Don't delay the dentist!

Ugh, cavity pain is the worst, it can really get you anxious and worried about what's going on in there. I completely get that feeling of dread. It's important to acknowledge how much it hurts, but then definitely make that dentist appointment. They're the experts, and you'll feel so much better once it's treated.

When I had toothache, I used an app to remind me to drink water and avoid hard foods. It helped me stay mindful. You can also track when the pain is worse to share with your dentist. But tracking only helps manage, pls get it checked by a doc quickly!

I remember when I first got a cavity, the pain made me panic so much, I thought it was some terrible disease! But turns out, it's super common. Just take a painkiller (like paracetamol) for temporary relief and then book an appointment with your dentist. It'll be fine once they fill it up, don't worry!

Dude, I literally just got over this! The pain was driving me crazy. What helped me was taking Ibuprofen as recommended by my doctor and rinsing with lukewarm saltwater a few times a day. But the real relief only came after the dentist cleaned and filled it. Don't put off seeing a dentist, seriously.
