What helps arthritis in back?

My father has been diagnosed with arthritis in his back, and he's having a lot of trouble moving around. He finds it very painful, especially in the mornings. What usually helps with arthritis in the back?

Oh, back arthritis? That's when even sitting to enjoy a nice biryani feels like a chore! I find that a warm soak in the tub, followed by a good nap, can sometimes make it feel a little less grumpy. And maybe a sweet treat to lift the spirits!

Ugh, back pain is just the worst. My mum has it too. She says a good supportive mattress makes a huge difference. And gentle stretches, like what a physiotherapist shows, can really help with flexibility and pain relief. Don't push too hard though!

It's so important to get a proper diagnosis for back pain, especially if it's arthritis. Just like with thyroid issues, you need regular check-ups to monitor progression and adjust treatment. Don't self-medicate, get a doctor's opinion to manage it effectively.

I had terrible arthritis in my lower back just a few months ago. What helped me was a combination of prescribed medication, light stretching exercises shown by my physio, and a really good back support belt when I had to sit for long hours. It's a journey, but it gets better with consistent effort.
