What health issues cause weight gain?

Been feeling like I'm gaining weight even though my diet hasn't changed much. My bhabhi suggested it might be some underlying health issue, not just my eating habits. Just wanted to know if there are common health problems that can cause weight gain.

My doctor explained that several medical conditions can lead to unexplained weight gain. Common ones include hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), PCOS in women, Cushing's syndrome, and sometimes even certain medications like antidepressants or steroids. It's important to rule these out with proper tests.

Oh, I completely understand the struggle, I've tried so many things! Sometimes it's not just food, it's our body. Hormonal issues are a big one, like thyroid problems or PCOD, they can make you gain weight even if you're careful. Stress also plays a role. It's good to get checkups.

From my experience with managing BP, weight gain can be linked to other health problems too. Sleep deprivation, stress, and some medications can affect metabolism. It's not always just diet and exercise. Regular check-ups with your doctor are very important to find out the root cause.

Beyond just diet, certain health conditions can certainly cause weight gain. I always advise my friends to check for things like insulin resistance or hormonal imbalances. Sometimes, even if you eat clean and vegetarian, if your body isn't processing things right, weight can still go up. Don't blame yourself too much.

Our body is a temple, so listen to it carefully. Sometimes weight gain is a sign of something deeper, like a thyroid issue or even stress imbalances. Stay positive, take good care, and consult with a doctor to understand your body better. Peace and health to you.
