What heals fever blisters?

I get these painful fever blisters sometimes, especially when I'm stressed. What actually helps heal them faster? I've tried a few things, but they always take so long to go away.

I have started getting these small painful bumps near my lips too and I'm a bit embarrassed. Does ice really help to reduce the swelling, or will it make the skin more irritated?

My doctor explained that fever blisters are caused by the herpes simplex virus, so antibacterial creams won't work on them. He prescribed a specific antiviral ointment to apply at the very first sign of tingling, which really speeds up the healing process.

While home remedies like cold compresses might soothe the burning sensation temporary, they don't cure the virus. The most effective approach is to get a proper prescription for oral antivirals or targeted ointments from a dermatologist.

Haan, fever blisters bahut irritating hote hain aur baar baar touch karne se aur badhte hain, na? Ice pack lagane se thodi raahat milti hai, par proper antiviral cream lagane ke liye doctor ko dikha lena chahiye.

Don't pop or scratch them because that will only spread the infection and cause scarring. Just use a doctor-approved antiviral cream, keep the area clean, and avoid sharing towels or lip balms with anyone else.

According to health trackers, outbreaks are often triggered by stress or low immunity. Keeping your lips moisturized with an SPF lip balm and taking care of your sleep hygiene can prevent them from popping up so frequently.
