What happens if skin cancer goes untreated?

My father has a small, strange-looking mole on his arm that has changed color a bit. He's hesitant to get it checked out. What happens if skin cancer goes untreated? Can it spread to other parts of the body?

Listen to me, don't ignore any changing mole or patch on your skin out of fear. If skin cancer is left untreated, it can spread to deeper tissues and even other organs, making treatment very difficult later. Let's get it checked by a dermatologist this week itself, okay? I am sure it will be fine.

For small skin rashes, applying pure aloe vera or coconut oil is fine. But if it is a growing lump or a bleeding mole, no home remedy will work. Skin cancer needs proper surgical removal and medical treatment, so please go to a big hospital immediately.

I had a dark mole on my shoulder that started growing, and I panicked thinking it was melanoma and spent sleepless nights. When I finally went to the doctor, it turned out to be a harmless spot, but he told me if it was cancer and left untreated, it could have been life-threatening. Better to get it checked and clear your mind.

While eating antioxidant-rich foods like carrots, tomatoes, and green tea helps protect the skin from sun damage, they cannot cure skin cancer. If left untreated, the cancerous cells will multiply. Please consult an oncologist for proper medical therapy.

Untreated skin cancer like melanoma can metastasize to your lungs or brain very quickly. Don't waste time researching online or hoping it will go away. Book an appointment with a dermatologist today; early detection literally takes just a 10-minute biopsy and saves lives.

Dear, skin cancer is highly treatable if caught in the early stages, often requiring just a small outpatient procedure. But if you ignore it, it can disfigure the skin and spread internally. Please show it to a specialist without any delay.

No amount of working out or staying fit can stop cancer from spreading if it is left untreated. If you spend a lot of time training outdoors in the sun, always wear a good sunscreen and get any weird skin patches checked by a professional doctor immediately.

Just like keeping an eye on my daily BP readings, keeping a watch on our skin health is very important as we age. Leaving skin cancer untreated can lead to severe systemic health failure later on. Make a dermatologist visit a part of your annual health checkup.
