What gets rid of fever blisters fast?

I often get these fever blisters around my mouth, especially when I'm stressed or run down. They're really annoying and take forever to heal. Is there anything that can get rid of them fast?

I get these annoying blisters on my lips whenever I am stressed. Applying an over-the-counter antiviral cream like acyclovir as soon as you feel that first tingle really helps them dry up much faster.

Hey, don't stress too much about them, they usually go away in a week anyway. Just don't pick at them or pop them, otherwise they will scar. Put some ice on the area to ease the burning sensation.

I have tried everything from honey to aloe vera for my fever blisters. Honestly, while home remedies like tea tree oil can soothe the itching, only a proper antiviral ointment from the chemist actually cures them quickly.

Beta, you can apply a little cold milk on the blisters using clean cotton, it cools down the heat. But remember to wash your hands carefully so the infection does not spread, and see a doctor if it is very painful.

Applying fresh aloe vera gel or a cold compress helps calm the swelling naturally. However, if the blisters are spreading near your eyes or don't heal in two weeks, please see a doctor immediately.

I just recovered from a bad bout of these blisters last week. My doctor prescribed an antiviral pill and the blisters started drying up in just two days. Getting prescription meds is the fastest way.

Fever blisters are caused by a virus and can be highly contagious. For your own safety and to prevent spreading it to family, please get it checked by a general physician for proper antiviral treatment.

These blisters are just a sign that your body is holding some heat and stress. Keep your mind peaceful, drink lots of cooling water, and let the body heal itself. Take care of yourself.

When I have these blisters, I strictly avoid spicy and salty food because they burn like crazy! Sticking to cool things like curd rice and vanilla ice cream is my favorite way to cope.

Fever blisters often flare up when your immunity is down. Focus on eating nutrient-rich foods, getting proper sleep, and continuing your workouts if you feel up to it to boost your immune system.
