What fungus causes dandruff?

I've been dealing with dandruff for a really long time, and no matter what shampoo I use, it keeps coming back. Someone told me it's caused by a fungus. What fungus causes dandruff, exactly?

At the dermatology clinic where I was treated, the doctor explained that dandruff is caused by a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia. It grows on the oily areas of the scalp. Please consult a qualified skin doctor to get the right medicated shampoo rather than trying random remedies.

I tried treating my severe itchy scalp with strong home remedies and ended up with a painful scalp infection and hair loss. The dandruff was actually due to Malassezia overgrowth. Please go to a dermatologist to get a safe, professional solution.

With my busy schedule, I can't do complex DIY hair masks. Dandruff is usually caused by the Malassezia fungus feeding on scalp oils. Just buy a simple, dermatologist-recommended ketoconazole shampoo and use it twice a week, it is highly effective and saves time.

I get so worried reading about scalp fungi, it sounds so scary! I found out it is just a common yeast called Malassezia that lives on almost everyone's head. Let's make sure we consult a dermatologist so we don't accidentally make it worse with the wrong products.

I am experiencing flaky skin on my scalp for the first time. I read that a fungus called Malassezia is behind it, but does oiling your hair regularly make this fungus grow faster? If anyone has experienced this, please guide me.

Haan, yeh dandruff actually ek fungus ki wajah se hota hai jise Malassezia bolte hain na. Yeh scalp ke oil par survive karta hai. Agar bohot zyada khujli ho rahi hai, toh hair oil lagana thoda kam kar do aur doctor ko dikha lo.

Don't trust random beauty blogs that tell you to put onion juice or lemon on your hair to cure dandruff, it can cause severe irritation. It is caused by a fungus called Malassezia and needs proper antifungal treatment. Get it verified by a doctor first.
