What fruit helps you sleep?

I've been having trouble sleeping lately, and someone suggested trying certain fruits before bed. Do any specific fruits actually help you sleep better?

At my age, getting a good night's sleep feels like winning a lottery! I have heard kiwis and bananas are great because they contain serotonin and magnesium. Let's see if eating a banana helps me sleep or just makes me visit the bathroom at 3 AM.

I read that tart cherries and kiwis can really improve sleep quality because of their natural melatonin. But then I worry if eating fruit late at night will cause acidity or spike my blood sugar. Maybe try a small portion of kiwi an hour before bed and see how your body reacts.

Exotic fruits like kiwis and cherries are quite expensive in our local markets. A budget-friendly banana is actually an excellent alternative since it is rich in potassium and magnesium which relax the muscles. It costs very little and works well.

When I visited my doctor at Max Hospital for chronic insomnia, she mentioned that kiwis can aid sleep due to their antioxidant properties. However, she emphasized that fruit isn't a cure for sleep disorders. You should discuss your routine with a specialist to get a proper solution.

Bro, eating two kiwis before sleeping actually worked for me during my college exams. I used to struggle to fall asleep due to stress. Give it a shot for a week, it really makes a difference.

Lying awake for hours staring at the ceiling is honestly so mentally draining, I completely feel your pain. I started eating a banana or a few grapes in the evening, and the routine itself brought some comfort. I hope you find some peaceful rest soon.

In our family, we are advised to eat a small banana or some warm milk before bedtime to sleep peacefully. While these traditional habits are very soothing, please consult your physician if your sleeplessness continues for a long time.

Managing sleep with PCOS is so hard, and I try to be careful with when I eat fruits. I sometimes have a few tart cherries in the evening as they naturally contain melatonin. Just be mindful of the sugar content if you have insulin resistance like me.
