What fever do you need to go to the hospital?
My son has had a high fever for two days now, and we're managing it at home. But I'm always worried. At what point or what fever temperature do you actually need to take someone to the hospital?

If your fever is really high, like above 103-104°F (around 39.4-40°C), and not coming down with medicines, it's best to go to the hospital. Also, if you have other worrying symptoms like severe headache, confusion, difficulty breathing, or a rash, don't wait.
If the fever is very high and not going down, or if you feel very unwell with other problems, it is wise to go to the hospital.
For someone with diabetes, a persistent high fever, especially above 101°F (38.3°C), needs attention as it can affect blood sugar levels. If it's very high (103°F/39.4°C or more), or if you feel weak, confused, or have breathing issues, go to the hospital immediately. Don't take chances with underlying conditions.
I once had a fever of 102°F and totally panicked, but my doctor said to only worry about hospital if it was 103°F and not coming down, or if I had very bad body ache, confusion, or breathing problems. So, if it's very high and not getting better, or you feel really bad with other symptoms, that's when you should go.
I totally get how scary a high fever can be. Generally, if it's consistently above 103°F (39.4°C) for an adult, or if you're experiencing severe symptoms like difficulty breathing, chest pain, confusion, or a stiff neck, it's definitely time to head to the hospital. Trust your gut feeling if something feels really off.
Dekho, agar fever 103-104°F ke upar jaa raha hai aur dawa se bhi control nahi ho raha, toh haan, hospital jaana chahiye. Ya phir, agar saans lene mein takleef ho, bahut weakness ho, ya body par rashes aa jaayein, toh bilkul der mat karo, na.
Oh, this is something I always worry about. For me, if the fever is really high, like 103°F or more, and especially if it's combined with other symptoms like a really bad headache or feeling disoriented, I'd say go to the hospital. Even if it's just to be safe. It's better to be overly cautious than miss something serious.
