What essential oils are good for asthma?

My asthma symptoms have been flaring up recently, and I'm looking for complementary ways to ease my breathing. I heard essential oils might help. Does anyone know what essential oils are good for asthma?

Asthma can be really tough. I've heard some people find relief with a tiny amount of eucalyptus oil diluted and diffused, but please use with extreme caution. It's best to discuss this with your doctor.

For asthma, please be extra careful. I've heard about eucalyptus and peppermint helping with clearing breathing, but *never* put them directly on your skin or inhale too strongly. My mother used to put a few drops in a humidifier far from her, or just a drop on a tissue to sniff from a distance. Always consult your pulmonologist first, this is serious.

Look, with asthma, you absolutely cannot play around. Essential oils are not a treatment. While some like eucalyptus *might* help clear congestion in *some* cases, they can also trigger an attack in others. Stick to your prescribed inhalers and medicines, and speak to your specialist before trying anything new.

My dear, asthma is a serious condition, not to be taken lightly. In our times, we would use vicks vaporub sometimes to clear blocked nose, which has eucalyptus. But essential oils are very concentrated. If you want to try, just put one tiny drop on a cloth and keep it far, don't inhale directly. And always, always follow your doctor's advice first.

I'm also curious about this. My friend has asthma and sometimes struggles. I've seen articles mentioning frankincense or lavender for calming, but it sounds a bit risky to try without proper medical advice. Has anyone actually tried these and found them safe for asthma?
