What emotions are stored in the liver?

I've been feeling very irritable and angry lately, and a friend mentioned that in some traditional beliefs, certain organs are connected to emotions. He said something about the liver. Which emotions are supposedly stored in the liver?

This question always makes me think! I've read in some alternative health practices that the liver is linked to emotions like anger, frustration, and resentment. It makes me anxious to think if I'm holding onto these emotions, is my liver being affected? It's a lot to process!

In traditional systems like Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the liver is often associated with emotions, especially anger, frustration, and irritability. It suggests that these emotions, if not managed, can affect liver health. This is why a balanced diet, including cooling foods, is sometimes recommended to calm the liver.

While Western medicine doesn't typically say emotions are 'stored' in an organ, some traditional beliefs link the liver to anger and stress. I know for high BP, managing stress is crucial, and it's all about overall well-being. So, whether physically or metaphorically, keeping emotions in check helps your whole body.

I remember reading about this and initially thinking it was some weird, new age stuff, which made me slightly panic, like, am I 'storing' anger in my liver?! But it's more of a concept in traditional medicine, like TCM, where the liver is linked to emotions like anger and resentment. Modern science looks at it differently, but it still highlights the mind-body connection.
