What drugs cause fever?

My mother has been getting unexplained fevers lately, and she takes a few medicines for other problems. Could some of her medicines be causing the fever? Are there any common drugs that cause fever as a side effect?

Oh, this is an interesting one! While I usually go for ginger tea and kadha for fever, I know sometimes medicines themselves can cause it. I've heard some antibiotics can give you a drug fever, or even some drugs for heart conditions. It's like your body reacting badly to it. Best to check with your doctor if you suspect anything.

It's true, certain medications can induce a fever as a side effect, sometimes called drug fever. This can happen with some antibiotics (especially beta-lactams), anti-seizure medications, cardiovascular drugs, and even some anti-inflammatory drugs in rare cases. If you develop a fever after starting a new medication, it's important to inform your doctor, as they might need to adjust or change your treatment.

Any new fever that develops after starting a medication should be brought to a doctor's attention immediately. While some drug fevers are mild, it's crucial to rule out other serious causes or adverse reactions. Never assume; always get it checked by a medical professional.

It's so unsettling when you take medicine to get better, and then it makes you feel worse, like a fever! I get really anxious when something unexpected happens with meds. Yes, some drugs like certain antibiotics or even some anti-inflammatory ones can cause 'drug fever'. Don't ignore it or assume it's just a regular infection; talk to your doctor right away.

While my focus is usually on a clean diet and regular workouts to boost immunity, I know that some meds can throw your body out of whack. I've heard about drug-induced fevers with certain antibiotics or even some meds for chronic conditions. If you're feeling off after starting a new prescription, definitely check with your physician, they'll know best.

I log all my symptoms and medications in my health tracker. I've noticed that sometimes, especially after a flu shot or certain antibiotics, my temperature might go up slightly. It's a known side effect for some medications like certain antibiotics (penicillins, cephalosporins) or even some heart meds. If you see a persistent fever after a new drug, contact your doctor.

When my kids are on medication, I always keep a close watch for any unusual reactions, including fever. Some antibiotics or even vaccination shots can cause a mild fever as the body reacts. It's usually temporary, but if it's high or persistent, we always call the pediatrician immediately. It's better to be safe, especially with children.

Seriously? Even medicines give you fever now? Like we don't have enough to deal with already. I barely get enough sleep, now I gotta worry if my headache medicine is gonna give me a fever. Ugh, life is hard. Just drink lots of water, I guess.

I remember getting a low-grade fever after starting a new medication once and totally freaked out, thinking I was getting sick again! But my doctor said it was a 'drug fever' and perfectly normal for some antibiotics or anti-seizure meds. It usually goes away once your body adjusts or if the drug is stopped. So don't panic immediately, but do inform your doc.

My grandmother used to say 'too much of anything is not good'. Even medicines. I have heard that some medicines like certain antibiotics or anti-seizure drugs can sometimes cause fever. If such a thing happens, it is always best to inform your doctor without delay. Their advice is paramount.

Hum toh bachpan se garam paani aur tulsi se hi bukhar theek karte the. Par haan, agar koi dawa lene ke baad naya bukhar aa jaye, toh ghabrahat hoti hai. Maine suna hai kuch angrezi dawaiyaan bhi bukhar kar sakti hain. Agar aisa ho, toh doctor ko dikhana hi theek hai, ghar ke nuskhe har jagah kaam nahi aate.
