What does ur thyroid do?

My elder sister was just diagnosed with thyroid issues and now she's telling me to get tested too. I don't really know what this thyroid gland even does, so I'm a bit confused. Can someone explain it simply?

Hey, the thyroid is a tiny but very powerful gland, like the boss of your metabolism! It basically controls how your body uses energy, affecting everything from your heart rate and body temperature to your weight and mood. So, it's super important to keep it healthy.

Dude, my mom has thyroid issues, so I know a bit. It's a gland in your neck that makes hormones. These hormones control, like, everything – how fast your body burns energy, your weight, mood, even hairfall. If it's off, you feel tired or restless. Proper doc checkup is key.

I just got my thyroid levels balanced after a long struggle. The thyroid gland basically churns out hormones that regulate your metabolism. Mine was slow, making me feel tired, gain weight, and my hair was falling out. When it's not working right, it affects your whole body. So, it's a big deal!

Achha, the thyroid. When I was younger, nobody talked much about it. But now, so many people have issues. It's a small gland in your throat, makes hormones that keep your body working smoothly – your weight, your energy, even your mood. If it's not well, you feel it everywhere. Best to keep it checked regularly, beta.

Understanding what your thyroid does is the first step, and it's totally normal to feel overwhelmed when you learn about its functions. This little butterfly-shaped gland in your neck basically controls your body's energy levels. When mine was off, I felt so low and moody, it affected everything. It’s important to understand it.
