What does the liver do in the excretory system?

I was reading about body systems and got a bit confused between the liver and kidneys. I know kidneys are for excretion, but what about the liver? What does the liver do in the excretory system, if anything?

It's totally normal to worry about what all these organs do! The liver plays a big part in the excretory system by detoxifying harmful substances like alcohol and drugs, and also converting ammonia into urea, which can then be safely excreted by the kidneys. It's like the body's main detox center.

In the excretory system, the liver's main job is detoxification. It breaks down harmful substances, drugs, and metabolic waste products. It also converts ammonia (a toxic byproduct) into urea, which is less toxic and can then be filtered out by the kidneys. So, it preprocesses a lot of waste for excretion.

The liver helps the body get rid of bad things by breaking them down so they can leave our system. It makes sure our body stays clean from inside. Very important organ, take good care of it.

So, the liver basically detoxifies everything, like a pre-cleaner before the kidneys, right? It handles breaking down alcohol and old meds too. Does anyone else get a bit anxious thinking about how much work our liver does? Like, are we stressing it too much?

Liver na, it's very important for excretory system. Yeh saare toxins aur medicines ko break down karta hai, jo body ko nahi chahiye. Aur ammonia ko urea mein convert karta hai, jo kidneys nikal dete hain. Ho na, bahut kaam karta hai apna liver.

I was just looking this up! The liver acts as a major detoxifier. It processes and breaks down harmful substances, drugs, and metabolic waste products like ammonia, converting them into less toxic forms that the kidneys can then excrete. So, it's like a pre-filter for the kidneys, fascinating!

Ah, the liver! In the excretory system, it's basically the chief bouncer, kicking out all the toxins and breaking down waste so the kidneys can deal with it later. After my weekend parties, I imagine it works overtime. Poor liver, needs a good detox nap!
