What does the hospital do for kidney stones?

A friend of mine was recently admitted to the hospital for kidney stones and had a tough time. I'm curious about the general procedure. What kind of treatment or intervention do hospitals usually provide for kidney stones?

When you go to the hospital with kidney stone symptoms, they'll first confirm with scans like ultrasound or CT. Then they focus on pain management and getting the stone out. Sometimes they just monitor for small stones to pass naturally, and might suggest drinking lots of water and even gentle walking if the doctor allows, to help it move. For larger ones, procedures are needed.

For kidney stones, hospitals typically provide pain relief, diagnose the stone's size and location, and then decide on the best treatment, which could range from medication to help it pass, to various medical procedures to remove it. They will take good care of you.

Yaar, for kidney stones, hospital mein actually pehle pain manage karte hain, because the pain can be really bad. Then they do tests like scans to see the size and location of the stone. Depending on that, they might give meds to help it pass, or do procedures like lithotripsy or surgery if it's too big. So, a proper doc visit is a must.

Oh, kidney stones are no joke! When you land in the hospital with one, they basically become your best friend in pain relief, then they play detective with scans to find that tiny culprit. After that, depending on how stubborn the stone is, they might give you meds to help it 'take a hike' or, if it's really comfy, they'll go in and escort it out. Don't worry, they know what to do!
