My doctor ordered an X-ray because of my persistent cough. I'm worried about TB. What does TB typically look like on an X-ray scan?

Honestly, X-rays are tricky for us normal people to understand properly. For TB, I've heard there are some specific patterns doctors look for, like lesions or opacities. But please, if you're suspecting TB, don't rely on online images. Go see a doctor and get it properly diagnosed and treated.
When I had TB, my X-ray showed some white patches, like cloudy areas, usually in the upper part of the lungs. The doc explained these are infiltrates. Sometimes there can also be cavities, which are like dark holes. They will do more tests to confirm, not just X-ray.
On X-ray? Probably like a bad drawing of your lungs with some extra, unwanted 'art' on it, haha. No, but seriously, the radiologist will give a report. It's usually described as consolidation or cavitation. But let the experts interpret it, saves you from unnecessary stress.
Beta, don't worry too much about seeing the X-ray yourself. The doctors, they know what to look for. When my neighbour had it years ago, they said it showed 'spots' on the lungs. The main thing is to follow the doctor's medicine course completely, it's a long one but very important.
I saw someone's X-ray once and it looked like hazy patches, almost like fog. Is that what it generally looks like? I'm always worried about these things. Did anyone else see something similar when they or someone they knew had an X-ray for TB?
