What does skin cancer look like on black skin?

I have darker skin and sometimes it's hard to tell if a mark is just a mole or something else. My friend recently had a skin check and it made me think. What does skin cancer look like on black skin, specifically for early detection?

Listen, on darker skin tones, skin cancer often shows up in less sun-exposed areas like the palms, soles of the feet, or under the nails. It can look like a dark streak or an irregular dark spot. Don't stress too much, but let's be safe and get a dermatologist to look at it.

I faced severe complications because I assumed a dark spot on my sole was just a callus. On dark skin, skin cancer can present as a dark patch or a changing mole on the palms or feet. Please do not delay; go to a reputed dermatologist immediately.

On dark skin, melanoma often appears as an asymmetrical, dark spot on the palms, soles, or under nails. I track all my skin changes on a digital health app, which is super useful. Highly recommend booking a clinical dermoscopy for an accurate check.

It can look like a dark, irregular patch on the bottom of your feet or even a black band under your nail. It's definitely not something you can cure with a good diet or comfort food, so skip the self-diagnosis and go show it to a skin doctor.

When we consulted a specialist at Apollo, they mentioned that skin cancer on dark skin frequently manifests as a dark streak under the nail or a spot on the sole of the foot. You should ask your dermatologist clearly to perform a biopsy if you notice any such lesions.

It can often look like a dark, changing spot on areas like the palms or bottom of the feet. Since I deal with hormonal imbalances, I try to be very careful with any skin changes. I'd highly suggest consulting a specialist rather than guessing.
